Munnar is located in Idukki District giving it an easy access point from Ernakulam, Madurai, Coimbatore and Thekkady. Vagamon can be reached by road, rail and air as described below

Munnar by road 

Munnar is 150 km away from the city of Kochi, 115 kms from Thekkady,155 kms from Madurai and 160 kms from Coimbatore .  It can be easily reached via road by Rent a cab , local taxi or self-driven cars. Unfortunately there are no luxury private coach operators  and you have to rely on State owned bus service or Local Private buses.

Munnar by train 

Closest station is Aluva  which 100 kms away. You need to arrive here and take either the government owned or private  buses or taxi are available for covering the rest of the journey.

Known for its natural beauty it has recently gained limelight for adventure seekers who wish to do trekking, explore camping, cycling and even biking. Munnar has grown in sightseeing options making it a sought after location among the hill destinations in Kerala as it offers options which could take up to a week to explore

Destination Munnar has grown over the last decade and so has the infrastructure and facilities. One of the most scenic drives to Munnar is from Kochi. This 150 km drive takes about 4 hours and is one of the best scenic road trips that you can take.

Kochi – Thrippunithura – Thiruvankulam – Puthekurish _ Kolenchery _ Muvattupuzha – Kothamangalam – Adimali- Kallar- Munnar.
